You know you have too much fabric when...

You're lusting after a piece of fabric but don't buy it because you know you already have too much fabric. Thank goodness you stick to you guns because when you're looking through your fabric closet you "find" the piece that you've been lusting after already in your stash!

So how do you know you have too much fabric in your stash??

I'm starting a new blog to put my ramblings about my mom, rather than write about her situation in my sewing blog. I put a link to it in today's post.

  5. I know I have too much fabric. I have an eight by seven foot walk in closet with about fifty running feet of shelving for patterns and fabrics, not to mention an eight foot hanging rail. However, it's not fattening, I don't have to take it for walks in the snow, and if anyone asks me to slipcover NJ, I'm all set. I'm not a stashaholic, I'm a textile connoisseur. Ta. Judi

  6. .... when you buy the same fabric at 2 different stores and still don't know it. I found both pieces in my stash much later. I couldn't believe I brought the same fabric on two different occasions and didn't know it.

  13. You know you have too much fabric when the thought of reorganizing a closet to make more "stash space" in your home is too exhausting. I haven't bought fabric in months. I also haven't completed a sewing project in months. Clutter stifles creativity.

  15. Very funny post. I'm not with too much yet, if I ever do have too much, I'll just keep bags of fabric in my husbands closet.
